About Me
Well as you know, I'm Tom Woodward. I'm meant to be responsible for the content of this site, however I'm pretty useless at it, so no doubt I will get sacked pretty soon. I'm also the graphic designer for the site, though if you dont like the purple, that is actually Malcolms fault. I live just outside Swindon, Wilts, and currently spend the majority of my time at college.

Favourite Film
My favourite film, is probably The Rock, as in my opinion is has the perfect combination of material for an action film. Its funny, fast moving, and theres plenty of action. You can read my review of The Rock just below.

Movie Reviews

15 Minutes (Region 2) on 02/09/01
Much more than 15minutes of fun.....
The DVD is also a very polished package, though many people maybe slightly disappointed with the lack of Infinifilm... [Full Review]

6th Day, The (Region 1) on 16/04/01
2 Arnies?! Uh Oh....
Arnold Schwarzenegger is back in business as a pilot who survives an accident and returns home - to find that he has been replaced by an exact clone of himself. [Full Review]

Bandits (Region 2) on 09/04/02
Two's Company, Three's A Crime.
Overall we get an above average disc for an above average film. I was slightly disappointed by the static menus for the DVD, but that is only a minor complaint. If youre a fan of Bruce Willis, youll be glad to see him back on the screen, though I have to admitits Billy Bob Thornton that really steals the show... [Full Review]

Cast Away (Region 1) on 30/06/01
Prepare to be Cast Away...
All in all, this is another great 2 disc release, and one that 20th Century fox should be very proud of... [Full Review]

Enemy at the Gates (Region 1) on 02/08/01
Close the Gates!!
Overall Enemy at the Gates is certainly a film worth watching, though If you are after a truly memorable war film then you should checkout Saving Private Ryan or Platoon as Enemy at the Gates certainly isnt a classic... [Full Review]

Gone in 60 Seconds (Region 1) on 30/06/01
This film needs no nitrous burst...
Tom Woodward reviews 'Gone in 60 Seconds' a film that practically all critics hate...but providing you arent expecting too much, manages to please... [Full Review]

Red Planet (Region 1) on 16/04/01
Dead Planet?
Better than Mission to Mars? Yep...but not by much! Tom Woodward reviews the film about the first mission to Mars. [Full Review]

Relic, The (Region 2) on 20/02/02
They did the unthinkable. They brought it back.
A pretty average film is presented on a pretty average disc. The film just about held my attention throughout, primarily due to Tom Sizemores performance... [Full Review]

Rock (Criterion), The (Region 1) on 30/06/01
Welcome to the Rock!!
I cannot begin to describe how much fun is contained within this movie... [Full Review]

Series 7: The Contenders (Rental) (Region 2) on 04/01/02
Real People...in Real Danger
Overall the film itself is well worth a watch, especially if you are a fan of reality TV, looking for a bizarre twist... [Full Review]

Shaft (Region 2) on 28/04/01
Who delivers ten times out of ten?
Overall, this release isnt exactly what I was hoping for. The film isnt much more than average, though I would say that its worth watching just for Christian Bale and Jeffrey Wrights performances... [Full Review]

Snatch (Region 2) on 30/06/01
Stealing Stones, and Breaking Bones...
The characters, great one liners and cinematography are what holds this film together, and providing your expectations arent too high, you will probably really enjoy it for what it is. Another light hearted gangster movie... [Full Review]

Stargate: Director's Cut (Region 2) on 26/08/01
Stargate - 'Another' Sci-Fi Film...
Never watch a film that you used to respect quite highly! It will only end in disapointment... [Full Review]

Unbreakable (Region 1) on 30/06/01
Unbreakable......? Urmm...no.
Overall the film is certainly worth seeing, though in my opinion let down by the rather weak ending. As a DVD package its certainly a nice try, though given some of the other great 2 disc sets out there, such as Gladiator or SE7EN, this one is pretty short of the mark... [Full Review]

What Lies Beneath (Region 2) on 16/09/01
Hitchcock...with CGI!
This is certainly a film that you should watch. I by no means like scary films, however here I have to make an exception, as it is riveting from start to finish. [Full Review]
